The Turin Giants Bring In Previous Italy Boss the Experienced Gaffer

Juventus have chosen previous Italian national team head coach the veteran manager as their manager for the remainder of the campaign.

The experienced coach replaces Igor Tudor, who was sacked after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio on Sunday.

Tudor had joined the club in March to replace Thiago Motta but exited following a seven-month stint following a string of eight matches without a victory.

Spalletti led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2022-23 prior to assuming the Italy role, after the team's failure to reach the 2022 World Cup under former boss Roberto Mancini.

He helped them qualify for Euro 2024 but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.

However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June after a World Cup qualifying defeat by Norway, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.

Spalletti's managerial career includes Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Serie A and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.

Juventus were temporarily led by Massimo Brambilla for their 3-1 win against Udinese on Wednesday moving them to seventh position in the league - six points behind leaders Napoli after nine games.

In the Champions League, they sit 25th in the league phase, having lost once and drawn twice in their opening three matches.
